wow the first render is trippy. I couldn’t tell if that was a dimple or nub in the center because if the lighting. Looks like a fun pocket throw 👀 ---

Tried a bit different view for the render this time. Today’s design draws inspiration from a couple throws, but to be honest, I just kind of freestyled this one out until I was happy with it. That being said, its hard not to see the resemblance to the shutter. Its specs are as follows: Width: 48.3625mm Diameter: 54.6mm Weight: 65.3g Gap Width: 4.3625mm It looks thin to me, but after double and triple checking, the minimum thickness is 1.875mm ---

Thats definitely thick enough for any aluminum alloy. Cup looks similar to something ive done, youre improving quick! ---

Hi. I’ve been trying to learn a little cad recently because I would love to prototype my own yoyo. I’m a hugh fan of lightweight yoyos so wanted to try and design something myself. I was wondering if all the cuts in the cup would make a machinist pull out there hair and run screaming or would it be possible. There is still alot more refinement to do. Thanks Nathan. ---

Sorry for asking because I really don’t understand. Are all the cuts to push weight to the rims? I understand how cuts can do this (I think). Maybe I’m wrong. Just trying to understand. ---

I made all the cuts on the cup more for aesthetic reasons thought it would very much contrast the smooth outside.
