So I made a small adjustment to the model and now the ring fits. However, the yoyo is 58g without the rings, and with them it would be over 68g. Something in the works. Wanted to try my hand at 7068 and make something a bit more performance based with a comfortable and familiar feel in the hand and on the string. Inspired by the edge and throws with a rounded rim. Trying to design something for me, if I polish things up I might get a proto run done. Its about 1.2 mm throughout, thinnest point is 1.22 mm. By how large are the rings do you mean dimensions or mass? They should be a little more than half the total weight ---

If you’re 7068 feel free to go a little thinner (around 1mm, even a bit lower if you’d like) and push the extra weight to the rims. Otherwise I’d recommend just going 7075. ---

The thinnest I’ve done on one of my own projects is around 1mm and they still turned out pretty durable (Mk1 Umbra). But yeah, whichever shop you talk to should be able to tell you exactly what they are capable of. ---

Something fun I cooked up today. Im really anxious about my protos to finish machining and get here 😅 so I drew up a stainless steel 40x40mm version of it with a d bearing. I have 0 plans for this to ever get made (unless the 5050 does super well???:wink::wink:)but I’ve had a lot of fun with the Euphonious this past week while away so the inspiration was there.
