This thread got a lot more combative than I thought it would, lol. My ideal responsive is a Mega Crash, but squeezed together, with a 2.5" wall, and a 2" response pad. It will be unwieldy and stupid. Like me. Suck it, nerds. ---

I think a better way of putting it is that the inconsistencies of wood make each piece unique and different, even among the same yoyo, and this is what makes it great. Also the lack of super-smoothness also adds grittiness to the enjoyment (kind of like guitar distortion or dissonant chords in music). The perfection lies in the imperfection. And damn did this thread get serious fast. I wasn’t exactly intending to be able to imagine the platonic form of a responsive yoyo, but it makes me kind of happy that at least someone tried :wink: ---
