1. Maddog’s Forum Bracelets
The only downside I see about this is, it may get confusing if you ever expand your business outside the forum
1. Maddog’s Expert bracelets
The downside: it leeches onto André’s oh so familiar ‘expert’ marketing
1. Maddog’s Survival Bracelets
Downside? It’s not targeted to be a survival bracelet, it’s for identification/accessory. Though its not THAT important, it’s something to keep in mind
1. Forum ID’s
The downside is again is that if you expand your business, it could confuse customers, or even make them uninterested by hearing “forum” and not understanding (it also eliminates “maddog” if you do seriously want that)
1. Maddog’s Paracord Accessories:
The only downside, it’s not marketing “bracelets” and people who’d buy may not know that includes bracelets
1. Maddog’s Paracord bracelets:
This has two sorta minor downsides:
A. It says ‘paracord’ and gives away what you’re using. But this could be a good thing or bad, whatever you feel
B. it says bracelet. But that’s ok den if you expand product wise, because you’ll still be able to use “maddog” which is very recognizable

I like that.
Also the king cobra design would make for an awesome bracelet design I think also.

It was the St. Jacobs Farmers market. You can probably find it on some news web sites if you look. I’m pretty sure the cause was that someone left something like a coffeepot on over night, but don’t quote me on that.

What are some good tips for people who want to make extra money that way? Any advice from what you have learned so far?

Hey TA. I went to the new store called Academy Sports and Outdoors. They had DIY paracord packs with buckles. And they had Braclets of all kinds. My dad asked if i wanted one and I mentioned about the business i was starting and the YYE Colors. He said football teams would be popular…

I just had an awesome idea. You could make a stylish little counterweight holder! It should probably abe able to fit on/in cases. But it’s a cool idea! Maybe even you could make some custom to fit my holsters. Just something to get them in/on, y’know?

I have no idea if this goes on the mod forum. Seemed like the most appropriate place…
So, I really like the idea of yoyo holesters. It both displays your yoyo and unclutters your pockets. However, there was always one problem with them that always bothered me.
There was no place to put the counterweight!
In a regular holster, the counterweight would hang below the yoyo, swinging everywhere, unraveling, and just generally being a pain.
So, after some thought, I came up with this design. It’s a piece of wood that slides onto pretty much any carabiner. It has two hooks that hold the counterweight (Duncan Dice, that is) in such a way that it easily slides in and out, but won’t slip out walking, running, jumping, turning quickly, etc.

The design isn’t intrusive and doesn’t interfere with normal holster use.
This is just a proof of concept that doesn’t look very good. I’m not the best wood shaper. Hopefully I’ll have a nicer one soon - I can finally use a holster!
Hopefully this is something the makers of the more fancy holsters will consider.

Yeah, concept wise. I’m sure Abby has the right idea. I’m talking some really flashy awesome wire type creation that you can hook onto a holster, or bag, or belt loop if need be.

Very interesting idea. :-\ I have given it some thought. I’ve never been a counterweight player, but if I was one, and I used a holder, I had to think whether this would come in handy. If I were in that situation, I would just leave the counterweight attached to the string, wind the string up with the couterweight attached, and stick it in the holder. I don’t think it would really need a separate section on the holder, just leave the counterweight attached to the string. Also, counterweight players are not very numerous, so it is a tough market for selling things. Maybe take Legyoyo’s idea, and have a small box with foam to hold counterweights that goes in people’s cases, how he described. If it looked like a OD Novus Box, and fit in cases, yet had foam and sections to hold counterweights that would be awesome.
I think an idea for a knot picker that attaches to holder with a key ring or something, would be cool though. Perhaps Abby would explore the knot picker idea too. It would have to be something designed so it won’t poke people when they sit down, but it can get knots out of the yo-yo. It has to look good, pick knots, and be safe. If it satisfies those three things, it’s a winner.

I realized the market would be small, and it’s not one of those things that are “necessary”; but if you had a yoyo, and you didn’t have a counterweight, you’d have it handy-dandy strapped to your holster/box! Then, once finished 5a, you could remove it from your throw and place it right back in its “sling” 🙂 it gives it a home.
But it could ALSO be a knot picker! I normally use a paper-clip attached to my wallet to pick knots, but having it on a holder/on a box would be super neat-o!

So TA, the stuff is coming tomorrow! Super stoked!
I think ill do it in this order.
Practice making them, figure out how many i can make using all the material.
Make them all.
Package them (hmmm…)
Make a thread+BST… I wonder if the mods will allow me to add a second business bst ONLY because mine current one is so big 8)…
Then sell them!!

Might wanna make a thread right after practicing. It’ll give people time to see it and consider their interest 🙂
Then package after they’ve ordered. But whatever you’d like, just an idea 🙂
