I was looking to pick up a copy of the Yonomicon and stumbled upon the Yonomicon 2nd Edition!
These Special Editions are insane! (I went for the “Magick Compendium”)
The delivery options are tempting :joy: 🤣

I pre-ordered it in 2019 on amazon and after a few years cancelled because it seemed like it was a no-go.

Mark is definitely a Yo-yo OG….
He did a whole lot of Thinktanking with other Original deep thinkers.
He was/and obviously still is, helping move yo-yos into the Future by helping people wrap their heads around the various contributing factors that can help get your mind directly on the center of your yo-yo play.
Without Marks’ determination, 3A might have ‘not arrived’ waaay back when it did. I still remember Mark doing Velvet Rolls as people just watched, shaking their heads in Amazement.
Steve Brown… Chris Neff, Jon Gates, Mark McBride, Hank Freeman…. All standing off in the right side parking lot, at night, at the Holiday Inn during Nationals, throwing an Event within an Event and cranking out 3A Magic surrounded by awestruck spectators…
Mark has both organized and Judged at countless Skill toy Events and stands in nobody’s’ shadow.
The Yonomicon was just a glimpse into the complexity of Brides’ genius. I mean, when you saw Mark he was either throwing a yo-yo or helping people with yo-yo sticking points or talking to others about yoyo trick formations or……. Just standing or sitting somewhere watching others.
But… when he released the Original Yonomicon, it was solidly etched in stone, that no matter what you saw Mark doing, he was Always working out the dynamics and principles of the spinning/moving objects we know as yo-yos.
And…. The few decades later, we can witness that Mark has collected no dust. He is Always trying to get a lock on things most of us don’t even consider… we just mainly play, lol.
So, here we are\> he’s done his homework and for little effort on our parts, we can take advantage of his intense efforts and fall,right in to this updated Yonomicom 2024.
A No Brainer for sure…. He is selling a 7 Course Meal for less than the cost of a cheap pizza.
And the Capper is that he didn’t spend years on this update to score big bucks. He could prolly deliver Pizzas and make more money than he will make with this Tome…
But he has Always Loved yo-yos and the people that land in this amazing, multifaceted skill toy hobby.
And his actions and contributions to yo-yos, easily speak volumes beyond my post.
I wrote this because I have known Bride for decades… liked him instantly the moment I met him… he has been so selfless over the years helping others without ever counting on others returning favors.

Went ahead and got a digital and a paper copy. Can’t believe this is actually coming out, the Yonomicon was my main source of learning for a long time. Very cool!

You guys are too sharp. This was going to be announced next week on the Yo-yo Player podcast. Crafty throwers :wink:
First, the compliments have been… well they make me feel so warm & fuzzy (Special nod to @yoyodoc ).
For the record, the Amazon preorder of this years ago was a publishing company that never got their act together and because of that, I’m self-publishing it. So the website is legit. All the “Special Editions & Deliveries” are priced high because if someone is as crazy as they are and buys them, I want to make sure I could actually deliver them :wink:

As fun as it would be to get a hand written and delivered copy I think I’m sticking to the digital book to stay within my real budget lol
What my brain needs is an audio book. I am terrible with focus and reading for personal fulfillment. Something about how I read really boring long security documents for work probably
