# Yomega strings

Hello,

I recently revived my old yomega yoyos from 1998: the X-Brain and Firestorm (the old one). I need to replace the string in both of them. I tried a 100% poly YYF string. But it’s too thin for the Firestorm which really lack responsiveness.

So I wonder what kind of string Yomega puts in their yoyos even now (it’s soft and large), and what is a good replacement string.

Yomega supplied cotton at that time. Use either 100% cotton or slick 6 or 8 (50/50 cotton/poly).

Does yoyoexpert sell slick 8 strings? I can’t find any.
