the YYF Bi-Metal Superstar surpassed my expectations i didn’t know what i was getting but i was pretty sure it was a yoyo so i didn’t know what to expect lived up to the hype probably the N12 i heard people say “not the best but decent for the price” fell short Butterfly XT ---

I would have to say the chief and the orca fell short for me I like the borealis and scout better … Bassalope was a real surprise such a good throw ---

When Im better down the road and get into more technical tricks, I could see the advantage of it’s stability and weight but the thing wore out my wrist from throwing it lol. ---

On the string it doesn’t display its power, but it is there. But it can also disappear easier than the OD. I catch myself playing lighter and then it comes alive so to speak. Do you own an OG Draupnir to compare to? At some point in the future I want a Japanese bimetal, probably the OD or an Edolass. ---

No. Problem was I never believed the hype. :joy: I had other YYR (Slepnir specifically) and while it was good, it didn’t make me re-imagine what a yoyo could be, if that makes sense. I had Turning Point, Jokers, etc. and just didn’t believe I was missing out on anything. That and the weights were so similar and I found I suffered play wise on anything below 64g so I stayed away from some for that reason. Always wanted to try a Drop Bear though. That Weerd with the boxer name was light and good too though! Also take my impressions knowing my experience is from someone who doesn’t do horizontal other than finger spins. So there’s a whole other world to these I do not experience. ---

Surpassed expectations: Legato 2 and plastic 000. The Legato 2 is a super nice player, light and maneuverable without feeling like you have to play fast. And the 000 is just unbelievably good for a plastic organic. Failed expectations: Freehand Nextgen. This was completely my fault though I didn’t do enough research and thought it was actually like a freehand, when it’s mostly just a plastic Duncan lol ---
