# Yo-yo competition tips and tricks

Hi, I’m competing in a regionals competition soon and I have good music but I don’t have that much tricks and don’t have a good understanding of the point system. Can anyone spare some tips and tricks?

BIGGEST TIP: only try what you can hit. make sure you can consistently hit your tricks. even try practicing Infront of other people to add pressure so you get used to it.  
if you dont have many tricks then i wouldn’t worry too much about the scoring system. when you have a large database of elements you know you can start worrying about that. if you would like you can shoot me a DM and I can help you with your freestyle.
