This was mentioned on that Bolt modding tutorial that you linked to, but do you remember that brief moment in time that we were using razor blades to make o-rings flush with the surface of the yo-yo? It was YoYoJam’s response to hubstacks! The yoyojam hubstack do-dads had the spinning post mounted to the caps. I have some I’ll try and dig up, but you would pull the caps out of yyj yoyos and put them in, and they came in two sizes, one for hitman size yoyos and another one for the regular size yoyos. ---

It’s fun to read threads like this. I still have my box full of duncan, diffeyo stickers, cork pads, YYJ o-rings and shims. I used to file down the starburst and cut o-rings on hybrid response YYJ’s. Great topic. On a side note, every YoYo I’ve owned with O-Rings has failed. All the O-Rings cracked. It’s the reason I stopped buying YoYoJam back in the day. To be fair, I live in El Paso, TX, a very dry climate. It’s so dry in El Paso, all of my YoYoJam’s cracked, not just the O-Rings, but the actual bodies of the YoYos. The YoYoJam bi-metals I owned the rings fell off.
