His reply is basically saying that he agrees that the committee should be considered more than just a dismissive “it’s not popular or widespread enough” and used curling as an example of why that was a silly reason to give. He argued against the AI result I am not Mo, I do not speak for him, but I read his replies (stuck in the hospital welcoming our twins! Not much else to do when they are sleeping lol) ---

Speaking, listening, reading, writing… Only English. Personally, I think everybody should speak at least three or four languages. I know people that speak up to 11 languages and one guy in a fabric business that speaks seven languages, each one representing the countries he does his major deals with. He told me he hates interpreters. He wants to speak directly to the buyers and he wants them to know exactly what he’s saying and he wants to know exactly what they’re saying. No second option. So I don’t feel like I would ever say I only communicate in English like that some kind of major advantage because it isn’t. But I can’t turn around now and start learning stuff or at least maybe I don’t want to take the challenge of learning another language, lol Now on the positive side, I have a very excellent grasp of speaking, listening, reading and writing in English. So if you wanna talk, Fast and crank up the vocabulary and try to whistle something past me with a quickness., You better be fast, brother. Cause not much escapes me. And nothing you could say in English would sail over my head. And very little of anything you could say that I wouldn’t understand. But the only reason I decided to respond to your reply, was something that did stick in my head as being somehow funnier than it should be. You started your reply by saying you’re not reading ‘my book’. And then at the end of your post, interestingly, enough, you state that I proceeded to write a book saying absolutely nothing of any relevance. So the curiosity is, you specifically stated that if you did not read my book… How in the heck would you know that my long winded oratory contained? ‘ nothing of any relevance.’? That’s kind of like me sending you a joke and asking you what you thought about it. I tell you that I texted you a joke and I wanted to know your thoughts? And you respond by saying yes I got your joke and I didn’t read it… But it wasn’t very funny. That would be a good abstract parallel. How can you say you didn’t read something as long as it was, jeez Louise, like what 1000 words? And you said you didn’t read it because it didn’t contain anything relevant. Contradicting yourself is not an effective way to make your point… Good job Thomas ---

This is an unsolicited public service announcement. To whom it might concern. Splizacular(Thomas), is a regular and well respected contributing member of the YoYoExpert forum. For the most part, at least that I am aware of he contributes positive input on the forum. And he does not hesitate to give suggestions and or a little help to anybody…. In this particular instance in this thread, Thomas and I are obviously having a difference of opinion. It doesn’t matter whether I think I’m right at his expense or the opposite for that matter.. Our back-and-forth banter, should in no way be considered that I am trying to put him in a bad light or making any attempt to dismiss the value of his contributions to the forum. There is nothing dumb about him that I know of. And if we spoke directly to each other for four hours and agreed on every single thing we talked about, to me that would be more concerning than the contrary. If people get along all the time every day all year long for years, and never have a disagreement, then one of them is either holding back or the other one is hiding something, lol Bickering and differences of agreement should not be a way of life. But that being recognized and understood not agreeing on certain things at any certain time is a standard process of human nature. I like Thomas and if I thought he was an idiot, I wouldn’t even argue with him, more than I would play chess with a blind person. The fact that I will go back-and-forth a little bit with him on a subject is more out of respect for his intellect, and the fact that it just doesn’t align with mine in this particular instance. I have no intention of trying to diminish any positives about Thomas. And I appreciate respect the fact that he won’t hesitate to do a little sword fighting with the old lion in the cage. I’m an old guy and if I do say so myself, I’m pretty smart. But if I was absolutely positively of the opinion that I’m always right, and I’m never wrong and people should never argue with me, then I would be in a delusional state of unwillingness to deal with reality, lol Yup.. ---

Why couldn’t @yoyodoc say it that way to begin with? Because Mo thinks that using a thousand meaningless words is more convincing than 100 meaningless words. Ten paragraphs of nonsense is still just nonsense. We are mostly just confused by the volume. That is why I just skip over these posts. Oh, and stay tuned for the long, drawn-out tirade about me beginning with insults and dragging on for ever and ever… Let me sum it up for him: ‘Piss off geezer’. 🙂 ---

Personally, I think the thing that stands out as most impressive in my opinion is a certain constant that is very obvious if you pull up both of our yo-yo expert forum summaries. I have been visiting the forum since 2009. You have been visiting the forum since 2010. Obviously, it’s now 2026. So for whatever reasons, valid or invalid, factual, or imagined, you have disliked me for approximately 15 years ongoing. The fact that you are an extremely popular forum member, that has positively generated so many useful posts using so few words, but yet having maximum effect in their meaning, makes it kind of hard to dispute what you say, because your words and your opinions are always golden and have a perpetual value that will last for generations to come. Anytime you make an entry on a yo-yo expert forum, before people even read the text, they know that you only say nice things and are compelled to only tell the truth at the same time using as few words as possible, so as to not discourage others from relishing and treasuring your words of wisdom. Your consistency of not liking me if nothing else is extremely impressive. So, go get em Tiger. You wait and you watch and when it’s time, you load the cannon with a bucket of compliments and light the fuse. Every village needs a hero. What better choice than you? ---

I was just leaving for Costco and your post helped my addled brain remember to pick up a Case of Kleenex, Even though you’re indifferent to me, it was most thoughtful that you were generous enough(obviously compelled by your blatant honesty), that you spent a minute insulting me , in the process of suggesting how insulting I am. You are such a non controversial, and integral member of this forum, no surprise you have amassed such a fan base, for all the love and great content you have shared in the last 16 years. Fortunately, I have been here for every single year, just waiting with bated breath, to copy and paste your constructive entries on the forum, to all be included in my future biography… The Legend of Geezer….. pS… i wont forget the new strings for your Violin.
