# Why does my response pads keep doing this? I also take the bearing out when lubing and wait for it to dry ---

Are you removing the old sticky residue fully prior to applying the pad? Goo Be Gone works best for that. You could always try silicone if this persists as an issue. ---

the pads might not be the right size for the seat. ---

I’ll try to clean it better and see what happens, a conclusion i have come up with is that the response pads are too big and thick for the yoyo and that I should clean it better when replacing. Thanks for the feedback ---

That’s what response pads look like when you get oil on them. It only takes the tiniest amount. You could be over-oiling your bearing, or maybe got some oil on your hands and wiped it off but didn’t wash them. ---
