# When Should I Lube My Bearing

Hey guys,

Not to sure what the tell-tale signs are of a bearing in need, any tips?

Honestly, lube is “optional”  
Some players, like myself, run bearings dry. No lube at all.  
It does cause the bearings to wear themselves down faster, but I find that they last such a long time anyways that I’m fine with buying a new bearing by the time it’s completely dead.  
If you want to lube it, most people lube it only when it starts to become obnoxiously loud.
