Have you bought a new throw recently and it instantly clicked and made you say “wow!”? I finally have a little spare time again to throw and have bought 10+ new yo-yos in the last 2 months. Some stand outs for me personally are: OD Wizard: just big organic fun. I also picked up a wyvern, thruline, and thorn but the wizard has them beat. DD Assassin 2.0: Undersized steel monster. This has power and then some. I bought 2 I liked it so much. RCS Punk: This delrin has been out for a while, picked it up on sale for $39. Instant favorite delrin, it wants to go fast. Like it over my Da Capo. CLYW Otter: I never was able to get an Orca, but the Otter is the little brother. Stable stable stable, almost boring. Makes me look like I know what I’m doing. ---

Most of my pickups this year are older bucket list/ grail pieces, but of the NEW stuff, Dink blew me away and Elevated crushed it. ---

Haven’t gotten a chance to try a Dink, but I do have a Dunk Rebound that’s been awesome. I bet the Dink is killer. ---

Rcs busker is a better mini than I expected and blows me away G2 soy on paper looks silly but I love it so much. There’s more but my brain isn’t working right now and so much fire coming in the back half this year. Was el tio this year? If so that’s my favorite so far ---

YYR Onslaught: Fast, light, powerful, stable, catchable, angular, whats not to love? YYR Blur Autoscopy: Sooo Light at 61.7grams, surprisingly catchable at 40.00mm. YYR Toru 0.99: Favorite bimetal at the moment; it’s light, stable, and incredibly floaty. ---

DD Assassin V2 and Oasis are truly outstanding, I used to not really like undersized yoyos but these two are infectious YYR Tone 2023 has been excellent as well, I’ve tried a lot of performant yoyos this year and it’s been my favorite so far, runners up being the YYFr Papercut and JT Kagerou which are also both incredible. ---

Oohhh, also! I forgot cuz it was a January release but the Rain City Skills Duccling is a fantastic micro! Its a must-have in my book if you are a fan of little yoyos. ---

The vhs had a new run and was completely new to me, same goes for zeekio alpha steel those were my two first pickups of the new year and both have remain favorites. Probably my absolute favorite drop has to be the GPPR from yyr. The wizard filled this role for me last year(favorite oversized organic) and this year it’s hands down gppr I honestly have no clue y nobody is talking about this Yoyo it’s absolutely fantastic! There’s a few more I can’t remember I’ll update later Will add the papercut, assasin v2, oasis and markmont project 2. Those are if we’re only counting 2024 releases. I’ve gotten a handful of new yo-yos this year that have become favs but weren’t released this year ---

The Japan Technology Ciel and JT x sOMETHiNG JetSet have both been exceptional offstring yoyos I’ve really enjoyed this year! I’ve tried a bunch of offstring yoyos so far and I really jive with these! The others have been really good too but these just feel right for me when playing 4a ---
