Yeah, I love my M1, and for the price it’s an amazing yoyo. But I’m a big guy and I like full sized yoyo’s. The DNA is dead smooth, and play’s fantastic. So if you like undersized, M1. If you like bigger yoyo’s, DNA!

DNA because I already have both a flow groove and pad M1, and I don’t have a DNA. Only own 1 fullsize atm and one on the way.

For 120 dollars, I would have gotten a black smoke M1 and a bunch of chaos string. The black smoke has marbled finish? Or I could choose the Superstar. But this is only because I want to try something different compared to what I already have. I think that it’s hard to set own preferences when you haven’t played it all.
I don’t really know what you want and already have. So if you have a lot of yoyos in different sizes and shapes, it will be preference. But if you don’t have an extensive variety of yoyos, then get the one more different compared to the ones you already have.
Addment. If you are very satisfied by the sizes and shapes you already have, get a similar yoyo.

I have a M1 and a new DNA. I like the M1 pretty well, but it doesn’t compare to the DNA in my opinion.

That’s because they are completely different yoyos. The M1 is undersized and have flat rims. The DNA is fullsized and has a rounded shape. So they provide completely different feels.
Addment: DNA’s might be better at grinding than your average M1 since it’s beadblasted. So if you are a big fan of grinding, the DNA might be a better choice.

Well, I would rather have one really good yoyo than two of the same. After all, the two M1’s will play exactly the same, so why get two? DNA also owns, I hear.

Exactly the reason why I would buy a black smoke M1 and save some money for a future yoyo.

I prefer the DNA.
Though, the m1 is nice. I don’t feel the weight distribution of it feels right.

DNA they are a higher grade yoyo, you get what you pay for.
