From reading the specs, it looks like the classic one is more narrow than the new one. I don’t know how much that would matter for me, but I suppose the new one might \*slightly \* improve my chances of landing on the string when I’m not being very precise. I don’t care about the noise levels; I honestly like the sound that my iCEBERG and Pory Crash make - presumably due to the mix of materials. Does one of them play lighter/faster/smoother, or are about the same? Has anyone thrown both of them to compare? Thanks! ---

I had a FS post on Facebook and someone asked me this same question. Here was my interpretation of the two having owned both at the same time. The new iCEBERG feels very different from the original. This version does not feel as powerful on the string. To me the original felt heavy and powerful the new version to me feels fast and floaty. It doesn’t take much to get it moving very quickly, but it will not move faster than you want it to go. Being wider it is a lot easier to catch whips and slacks. I’m not great a horizontal but it handled the horizontal tricks I put it through with ease. The finger spin cup is also redesigned from the original. The lip on the outside of the dimple is thinner with makes fingerspins a lot easier to land as well. While playing them you can tell they are both made by the same company but designed with different play styles in mind. To me the complement each other but one does not replace the other. ---

But honestly not tooooo much of a difference playwise. Well, but that’s just me. I use mostly organics anyway - so even the classic Iceberg Shape is kinda ‚competitive‘ shape for me. I enjoy the classic a bit more. Both are solid throws. Just my 0,02. ---

That’s exactly the kind of feedback that I was hoping for 😀 I’ve already got a couple of the newer iCEBERGs, but since they just put out more of the CLASSICs I was wondering if there was any point in me picking up one of those as well. If they played pretty much the same, then I’d stick with what I have. I find that the newer one is definitely fast, and if you think that the CLASSIC feels heavier and more powerful then that would be enough to make me put that on my wish list. Besides, there’s another colorway that’s been calling my name… Thanks for the response! ---

I have both and fully agree with your interpretation. I’d like to add that while the new version is easier to get into a finger spin, the old version will spin longer and more stable if you get into the dimple quickly, which is trickier. ---

I would agree with your statement about the fingerspins as well. The iceberg classic will fingerspin for what feels like forever if you hit the dimple. ---
