I sound like a broken record lately, but I have been hooked to responsive play the last 6 months. Are there any upcoming releases (that can be shared at this point?) Modern responsive, fixie, whatever. As long as it is designed for tug responsiveness ---

Not much in the short term that I’m aware of. Mowel dropped some neat 3d printed responsive recently and clyw is working on a budget wood with tmbr designing it but no word when that’s coming. Worlds might have some news but usually that’s more focused around 1A unresponsive. ---

I’ve seen some insta content that implies that Jon Gates is working on Retro Gamer 2.0. As I believe you know, for fixie and 0A there are a _ton_ of independent makers both turning wood and 3D printing throws. I think if you’re looking for something specific all you need to do is ask 😃 ---

I’ll tease prototype photos of what will be my signature unless plans fall apart. Like one of the reasons the Waffle Stomper plays so good is @Pun1sh3R asked if I could combine my 3d printer brake pads with an mr85 and the results were excellent. ---

Love the irradescent colors, shape (especially the inner high walls), MR85 branding, TMBR/Tom Kuhn inspired inners (so cool looking), interchangable wood or MR85 axle, wow, you are putting together a masterpiece Edit: Is the response going to be akin to the SB2, adjust the gap to get the proper response, and add a turbo disk if more grip needed? ---

It won’t be a proper adjustable gap… probably but the idea of one of the threaded seats accepting SB2 bearing seat nuts is on my mind and a possibility. Right now these get threaded in firm. I’m working on bearing seats in the following configs… unresponsive a, unresponsive d, unresponsive c, responsive a, responsive d, Tom Kuhn I bearing, MR85, MR85 unresponsive, MR74, MR63, 685 responsive, 685 unresponsive, and finally No Jive axle. So far the unresponsive versions are vibing so I may end up only doing the responsive seats. ---

I understand now, so each insert is a different bearing seat, is the response going on the insert around the actual bearing seat? I assume so, and are you thinking break pad for all configurations (unsure if the insert is big enough to accompany the insert but looks it.) Even if it couldn’t be smooth enough for unresponsive play, the ability to have different axles from different materials for responsive play is awesome as they all give a different feel, response and spin time to various degrees ---

Yeah the seat is big enough to fit an entire response pad. It’s a 30 mm diameter thread with 2 mm threads. The seat post is notched for a nickel or 3d printed key to thread and unthread the seats. The c bearing takes slim 19s, the d bearing takes freshly dirty pads. The brake pads are too big for the Mr63 is which the tiniest bearing it’s outrageous, so it’s gonna get custom pads. The a bearing will, 685s, etc will probably also get custom pads. ---
