I need to preface this with a disclosure: most of my yoyos have been gifts funded by family. I can only claim a few throws in my collection to have been bought with my own money. My family received an invitation to go on a cruise. I can’t exactly serve as a missionary on a cruise ship so I can’t go. My mom decided she would fund the purchase of a yoyo of my choice as a consolation gift. I knew exactly which one to get. The listing had been up for a while, and I had been watching it like a hawk, wishing I was in a position to get it, but probably wouldn’t until long after it was gone. I had told myself I would finally acquire my grail when the time was right, but I didn’t think it would be today.
