They went so quick! I almost set an alarm, but I was like, I won’t forget. …I have a toddler and an infant. Obviously, I forgot, until, 56 minutes after the drop when I feverishly grabbed my phone and typed in the website only to find them sold out 😞 hahaha So I ordered a bunch of skyline 3 and will eagerly await the next first Friday…. In the meantime, tell me how they are. I wanna be even more eager, apparently. ---

Yo! I set an alarm, and I was fortunate enough to hear it go off 😅 Here’s my uneducated opinion based on a couple short sessions so far: These nylons are lush! Soft on the digits, but not slick enough where I find myself using tac to keep a slipknot, just my usual double-slipknot is working great. A little thinner than I was expecting, but in a great way. Definitely not thin, or uncomfortable, just thinner than my usual go to (Skyline IIIs). I found hooks and slacks to be extremely consistent and whippy, my follows and jade whips are so happy! I’ve only strung up on throw so far, so I’m not sure how this string will do with different response pads. However, the stock response on my SF Motive is pleasantly snappy with this string. I’ve been trying a lot of new strings lately, and these are easily in the top 2…if not the best! Further testing will tell me more, guess I better get on that, huh? ---

Fo sho! I was a little worried about the thickness. Skyline is so perfect but I like executive class lite too. I’m hoping they send me an aeretic as my sample string. On the topic of string, have you tried fox tails from @ENGLISH_TEA? They are not soft by any means but the whips are effortless. I’m used to playing with super soft nylon so it took a little getting used to but they are amazing. I don’t know what kind of thread he uses but it almost feels like chordage opposed to string. I highly recommend trying some of you haven’t! ---

I have tried some Foxtails! I’m still breaking in a pink/green fade string he sent me months ago. They’re stiff and hold slacks very nicely, they remind me of some of the Markmont blends, Night Moves especially. ---

Wow, what a collection! I know that they’ve released a lot of editions, but seeing them altogether like this really emphasizes just how many have been released. I really like the colorway in that last picture, I don’t have anything close to that. ---

Yes I am. I’m not sure about it yet, very little difference. Since it appears it affects the preamp section I may need to adjust the amp to get the benefit. If that doesn’t make a difference then I’ll try a different amp and then contact JHS. The cables are interesting, sold only via the evil overlord bezo site, appears he’s going into the guitar realm. Uses Mogami cable. ---

I’ve been picking up these throws from last week and December. I got the OD Legendary Terrarian, OD Marquis , CLYW Chief and Peak 2 thru my local bst. Seemed like an opportunity that was hard to pass considering prices they were being asked for and almost mint condition of the throws. The LT was an interesting one after early plays. I was almost regretting the buy and ready to flag it as the most mediocre OD design I’ve came across so far. Even thought of going back to the seller for a swap to a CLYW Bonfire instead! But I did look up some older threads here on the LT and seems everyone’s enjoying it with lighter SE’s. Since I had a few extra’s lying around, I swapped it with a UL and mini spikes. Glad to say it plays MUCH better now with either, not feeling as heavy and closer to what one would expect from a One Drop design :+1: The Peak 2 didn’t feel particularly impressive but just happy to have one of the Peaks, granted its not an OG Peak. Chief was my 2nd to add to the collection. The OD Marquis is a really fun undersized throw, very surprised by it. This one’s a keeper. The Kamuraiju and Informel, 100% under rated. The YYF Kapital - I have read a few positive recommendations of this and can’t agree more.
