The Affinity is great. Got mine as well. Really wanted a green one but got blue. But, that’s okay. So smooth for the price. The other Martian half has a green ultra light. I read that Elvin said the ultra lights give the yo-yo a much different ‘feel’. I was kinda skeptical about a little bit of more or less center weight would make a very noticeable difference? Well….. it certainly does, lol. It’s honestly going to be a toss up which people decide they prefer. Elvin told me he can’t even conclude which recipe he likes better.🤓 ---

First thoughts: it’s smaller and lighter than I was expecting. Throws great, bearing is super smooth, I landed one of my more challenging combos first try. Interested to see how it breaks in; this is a much more adult looking daily plastic carry vs the K2 Crystal, lol. ---

Definitely a cool throw and worth the wait. Comparing it against a Kamuraiju (my other mail day) and Free Solo, it’s the laziest of the bunch, but spins for days and just has a great vibe—not the nail kind, but “it’s all about the throw” kind. Really like it. Not my favorite or go-to, but I can see it being in the rotation, sort of like the Thorn. I also love the hype it’s gotten here, too, along with it’s own revival thread. Makes it that much more special and interesting. ---

Here’s my other one—Kamuraiju! I swapped in some ULs, put in an NSK concave, and changed to a P44 regular. Wow! This thing flies! Really fun as it zips incredibly fast. If I’m honest, I didn’t like it at first, but now it’s terrific. It makes the TD seem like a tank 😆. That said, the Top Deck is pretty stellar in its own way.
