No offense intended, the angle of the image just made them look different to me. I don’t think you would intend on buying fake throws, i just know that there have been counterfeits produced and people have been scammed.
You actually have the yoyos in your possession so you would definitely know better than me seeing one image.

I could write a lengthy essay with all of my thoughts on this stuff, but I’ll just summarize it.
Kitty Sub-standard is great, but I’d rather have first class. I’d rather buy this than another brand of bulk though because I like supporting the brand/players. White \> yellow if you’re buying sub-standard since the yellow isn’t neon, unless of course you want a not-neon yellow string.
I wish I bought a Magnolia when these dropped, I’d have acquired fewer yoyos this year if I did.
This order has been stuck in customs for so long that I placed it before I saw the light of flowable silicone. I’ll probably just include a pair of these 21mm pads with any CLYW I sell/trade.
It’s about time JT made spacers instead of just relying on o-rings below the standard spacers for their offstring models.

I LOVE kitty first class, i’ve recently switched from being ‘alphaline only’ to ‘kitty first class only’ lol. I was on a search to find a white string to compliment my alphaline, but after trying kitty first class white I immediately preferred the kitty. the two section twist actually works well for maintaining neutral torsion and the string just feels great.

Sub-standard is made with the same technique. So it plays/performs pretty much the same as FC, I’m just not in love with the feel. The initial waxy/oily feeling that OTS and cheaper bulk strings have out of the bag is present on sub-standard. Just like the others it goes away after like 10-15 minutes of play once the string breaks in, but with FC it just feels good right out of the pack. The yellow not being neon yellow is also a bummer to me, but I expected this. You can tell in the product photos, but I was hoping the product photos just had bad lighting (they didn’t lol). I should’ve bought white in hindsight, oh well.
For 20 bucks I’ve got no complaints with it, I’m going to be content playing through the rest of this pack. This is what I’d recommend if a friend getting into yoyo was looking to buy string, and the 10 dollar price difference was relevant to them.
Oh yeah worth noting is that sub-standard is like 5-6 cm longer (unstretched) than FC. So I guess for people who wanted a slightly longer Kitty FC, this is the way to go.

i didnt realize that sub-standard was also made that way, pretty solid value then at $20. sub-standard is jsut a silly name for a product though LOL, why not just call it standard?!

Honestly FC and substandard both feel like dumb names. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to explain to people that FC is just “normal kitty” now, and “normal (old) kitty” is discontinued.
When the sub-standard option ends up being pleasantly above-average.
