I don’t get anyone that compares the Creep to the Grail… they’re more different than they are similar IMO, they’re pretty different “flavors” of organic, and feel totally different to me. I have 4 Creeps and 4 Grails and they all play differently from each other, but no Grail plays like any Creep and vice versa. If anything, the Creep feels more like a perfect cross between a Peak and Peak 2. It’s like a Peak 1.5 :joy::joy::joy:

The domes look good on the Diorama, are they the “raspberry” coloured ones? I don’t own any domes, do they change the feel much compared to flats?

It’s a shame you’re not getting on with the Creep. I really enjoy mine and I’d say it’s very similar to the Peak 2 more than anything.

@Lukoyo yes, these are the raspberry domes. According to one drop, the domes are 0.4 gramms lighter than the flat caps so in theory the weight-distribution moves a bit more to the rims. In terms of playfeel, I think I’ve noticed a minimal change, but that could also be just in my imagination. I rather suspect the latter. The change in appearance is certainly more significant 🙂

I don’t disagree that a massive concave cup makes fingerspin tricks much easier, but I don’t think they’re the best either. For the yoyos like the Iceberg and the Shooting Star (which is based on the Iceberg), their cup is not just the fingerspin dimple in the middle. I don’t have a Speedaholic XX, so I can’t really comment on the cup design, but from what @TryCatchThrow and you mentioned, I believe it is pretty similar to the Iceberg and the Shooting Star. The area around that dimple is actually concave and will guide your finger towards the fingerspin dimple if you miss the dimple. I normally don’t throw my fingerspins to hit the dimple on these yoyos and still end up there after about a second or two. I usually aim and catch the yoyo at the side of the cup rather than the centre. This design is arguably the best for fingerspin tricks, unlike yoyos like the YoYoFactory Arrow or the iYoYo Titanic where it is just a fingerspin dimple in the middle and the area beside is flat. Both of those yoyos aren’t blasted in the cup as well which only makes them worse for fingerspins (excluding the latest run of blasted rainbow Titanics).
@TryCatchThrow the Iceberg will probably be the best fingerspin yoyo you will have the pleasure of owning.
