I just found this at a toy store.
Just like my kids, it doesn’t want to sleep, lol. I don’t recommend using this to teach someone how to yoyo. The rubber does feel cool though.
Update - I discovered it came with the string double looped on the fixed metal axle. It does in fact sleep just fine. I like it much better now, but I’d still probably go with the Butterfly XT for best Duncan beginner yoyo.

Is this a fixed axle yoyo? I’m extremely curious about this, is it just a standard plastic butterfly with rubber rims molded over? Or is it totally different?

Yes, it has a fixed metal axle. the body is rubber on a plastic hub.
P.S. - Thanks for asking, when I took the string off I found it was double looped on the axle. Now it sleeps!

apparently it had been a while since i checked my physical mail box as there was a lot of stuff lol. one of the coolest and least expected mail days in quite some time. big thanks to Aaron of A&A yoyo strings for this awesome little note and pack of custom strings! sadly have not even had a chance to string one up yet, but they look so good.
