I will thoroughly attest; Season 1 & 2 had me waiting for the show to get cancelled. Completely awful. Season 3 they backpedaled and fixed 90% of my complaints as a book fan. Looking forward to Season 4!
I loved Mistborn was probably the series that completely locked me in as a full time reader. That said, I thought Stormlight was OK/Good for me, _thank The Almighty for a few characters I ended up deeply resonating with_ I finished my full read through of the Cosmere with it.
It did make me realize Sanderson isn’t my favorite author, but that I won’t say no to his books in the future, just have to be in the mood for his _style_ of writing that seems to be taking over his more recent releases.

I am finishing up The Way of Kings and trying decide what to read next. I liked it, but it didn’t really pull me in enough to make me automatically go for the next book. Although, there is still some book left, so that could change.
I have been wanting to read the Kharkanas books from Steven Erikson, but it doesn’t sound like the third book is coming any time soon. I also have Die unendliche Geschichte (The Neverending Story), which would be my first book in German that’s in paper rather than an eReader (so, no built-in dictionary).

Way of Kings was the slowest of the series, as it’s a LOT of setup. It didn’t get into things as fast as the Mistborn series did. I’m slowly finishing up Wind & Truth now, and it’s been a great ride.

Service; A Navy Seal at War - Marcus Lutrell.
This is his second book. Post “Lone Survivor”.
Love, Dedication and Comitment always gets me. So glad we have people like this on our side.
In this book he is telling some stories for Military Members that can not tell them themselves.

Just bought a book today actually. Traffic on the way home was so bad, I pulled over and spent an hour at the book store.
Picked up book #6 in the Murderbot Diaries. Saw Apple was making it into a show so figured now is the time to finish the series.

Reading Dracula Daily (from now until november 😋)
Basically an email newsletter that sends you the entries in Dracula on the date they’re written, from may 3rd till late November!
One of my favorite classics, so im kinda excited to interact with it this way too

Currently on book #9 of the Malazan Books of thr Fallen. Only one more left in this series and im both relieved and sad. The books and world building are amazing but ive been working on the series for about a year, as the books are so long.

I was a little intimidated to start but it’s really not that bad. There’s a ton of pov characters like GOT not it’s easy to follow the big over arching story for a while. The third books whole first half seems totally out of place and when it clicks into place with the previous book its amazing.

I just finished “Starter Villian” by John Scalzi. Fun read. A little predictable. Good vacay light reading.
I also blitzed all the MurderBot Diaries since the show came out. I’d recommend. Enjoyed. Action packed.
Next up is Neal Stephenson’s “Seveneves”.
