So far so good, loved Kingdom of Ice.
Also the older I get the more I like non-fiction, which makes me feel older as well :joy:

It’s called the Orthodox Study Bible, should be available through multiple retailers if you search that term. Their is only one. While I am not part of the Orthodox Church, their is a lot of good that I have been pulling from it.

The world leader of my church is reading a Bible in the original Hebrew. He talked about some insight from it in an official address.

Finally getting around to reading Cordelia’s Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold. I have read all the Miles Vorkosigan novels (they rock), but never read the foundation series about his mother. Bujold writes science fiction of the highest order.
I just finished a new translation of The Gallic Wars, by Julius Caesar. I got my minor in Roman History, so I find that stuff interesting. I am probably one of those strange people that think about Rome on a daily basis. Probably because I see its history being repeated so often 🙂

And now I started reading to “Way of Kings”. I’d already listened to it in audioform. But reading does hit different somehow. More visceral maybe? Or maybe it’s just that when I listen to an audiobook I’m always doing something else at the same time. And while reading I’m not.

I’ve finished Death’s End by now.
While I loved the Dark Forest…Death’s End truly blew my mind.
The whole series has been a succes for me. I love each book, and loved each book after that even more.

Cool. I read em all. Louis Lamour is awesome. William A. Johnstone writes westerns and is worth checking out and a lot of his books are like westerns set up in modern times. His books are addictive.

I like the lessons that L’Amour teaches in his books. A lot of the growth his characters experience can be applied to real life

I just started Mort, book 4 of the Discworld series. The first 2 were good, but the 3rd was MUCH different, and I liked it much better. So far I’m really digging this one.

Just finished Shift (book 2 of the silo series) by Hugh Howey and Dune Messiah (book 2 of the Dune series) by Frank Herbert. Really loved Shift and how it tied into Wool while further developing the world they take place in. Howey does a great job of making you FEEL the discomfort throughout the books without dragging things out.
I’m still working on a fun book called You’re Not Listening by Kate Murphy and then just started the classic sci-fi book Hyperion by Dan Simmons.
