I’m not a fan of the 650B, no. Its too heavy and not snappy enough. I find the gap too wide too. The Weekender is different. It’s lighter and the weight is distributed better. With a really greased up bearing, it responds quite well. Like all A bearing responsives, I can still feel a dead zone in the last stage of it unwinding resulting in a subtle thud. It’s a really good modern responsive. I like it. ---

@Lido I just take a razor blade and gently saw at the string (so you don’t cut into the axle any). Doesn’t take much pressure, just time. ---
