All silver/ clear yoyos are ano’d, it’s just done without dye. The various surface prep methods make them look different. That vtwo is interesting though because I thought they were all bead blasted. I could be mistaken but that looks more like the pyramatte with the more uneven finish. I think that’s what you’re perceiving as raw (unless there actually are some raw vtwos out there, but I thought od didn’t do true raw yo-yos)

These are both pyramatte, you can see the difference. Normally they look like this silhouette more grey. But the Vtwo is shiny with a more rock tumbled look. I wonder if the particles in the machine were different at that specific time because this looks raw
_raw color, i know they use clear ano_

The last run of clear Rebirths were like that. OD said it was just a thinner layer of anodizing.

Possibly different media, but also one yoyo is 6061 and the other is 7075

I’m sure there are slight variations in texture of the various VTWO runs. I had a silver VTWO and it was a bit more blasted than that one.
I’d love to get my hands on another silver VTWO so I could have it ano stripped and polished.

@hobby_master Yes, as I understand it, it’s a thinner ano layer. Essentially they run it for a shorter time in the ano bath.

I’m finally getting the hype around OD. I picked up these two because, well…I had to 😆. Actually, it’s the first non-Terrarian/Fat Tire that I found in stock. Absolutely amazing and that 10-ball is incredible! Super smooth and dead silent.
What I find the most interesting is that I added the Pano as an afterthought to the Free Solo. Just thought I’d jump on it. Turns out, I love it! It has a cool old school vibe with modern playability. The black on black is sweet, too. I have been picking it up the most lately, foregoing the FS, an iQ and a Grasshopper. It’s just that fun. What a world we live in when the Grasshopper is 4th out of 4.
Incidentally, because I like these two as much as I do, I ordered a Thorn, too.
