Been throwing this the past week or so, may need a thinner string with a half spec set up(too responsive to split the atom with prestige string) but the weight is a nice change of pace. So many metal responsives are so light. This one’s a bit heavier

Have you tried it with the flat, full size bearing? It’s responsive that way, too.

Bearings and I have finally rekindled our relationship. But I still have a passion for fixies now, particularly given the ease of maintenance and how bad\*\*\* stall tricks are.
I took this 3 pack with me to work today. I RARELY throw at work, BUT I always bring yo-yos with me, incognito. :joy: Anybody else do this?
(FTY Project-Ti, OD Panorama, TMBR Fremont 2020 in maple).
Gonna play them tonight after I get my son to bed. 🤗

Was actually going to ask you which pencil case that was haha. I love that my pencil cases work as yoyo travel cases too. I usually keep that in mind when I buy a new pencil case.

This one turns a beautiful shade of light pink when spinning. If you play fast enough you can see the colors shutter 😊

I see. It offers plenty to me that way. I did learn with yoyos that played more like that, though. They’d sleep pretty easily, and they’d return fairly easily but not near automatically. I can play this one handed that way if I want. Your thinner string might work well for that with the smaller bearing, too.

Ya it’s a pencil case that I bought at a local office supply store with the intention of modding as a yo-yo case. The brand is Zip-it. It’s a nice case, it’s all padded, I glued in the EVA dividers, took off the branding and put on my own logo leather patch. I really like the size of this one and it’s ability to hold 3 yo-yos is great. It’s a good number for variety.

Nice good work on it - I’m thinking of buying another for a proprietary yoyo case so I can glue in the foam inserts like you did. Yours looks really nice, thanks for the ideas!

Another configuration we tested is to use half spec bearing filled with thin lube (kind of making an unresponsive half-spec bearing). This way will make El MiJo to spin longer and to be less responsive. You can achieve a good amount of around-the-worlds too.

LOVE the Sportwagon! Ive got a 2015 Golf TDI, cant find a photo but its just stock. When I got it was debating between GTI or TDI and my commute won out lol. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have 3 pedals but the DSG is the best auto I’ve ever driven.
