Lazy rainy day… Did a small photoshop side project for my boss and binge watch water slide videos on YouTube - a reminder that soon we will be able to partake in outdoor activities when we get through this. Wrapped up the day (literally) working on pull starts on various spiked yoyos of mine,recently finding out I can pull start and balance my wooly marmot 2. ---

We have something similar hanging in our front room. It was done for my mother-in-law for her kids (my wife) over 50 yrs ago, and while we never knew the lady, i sometimes wonder who she was and think of a stranger i never met. So i think you can add a few more years to the 20 you mentioned, and think of someone you’ve never met who may think “who did that”. ---

My life coach lady called today. She’s working from home for now…I’m just glad she’s able to do so. lol she wanted to call just to schedule a time where she can call me and we can catch up with each other. 36 minutes later and we finally got the time set up! haha It was good to hear from her. There’s 2 people in my life who I could gab with for hours and love it. She’s one of them. And I realized something… She’s been extremely important to me in my life over the last 1 1/2 years we’ve been working together. Having someone so non-judgmental and supportive of me…and someone who keeps me motivated and moving in the right direction. Also…just having somone to talk to! I had my mom my whole life and I’d check in with her on the phone almost daily. I miss that…and though I only talk to my life coach twice a week…it’s damn nice to have that. It’s something that’s missing in my life since my mom passed. But what I realized…is that I’m important to her as well! I’m a pretty damn good shoulder for her to lean on and am a very active and engaged listener for her. And we share a lot with each other. I think I’m a really positive and strong person for her…and it feels damn good to be able to be so for her. I think I’m a healthy part of her life and…for everything she gives me in my life, I’m able to give to her as well. So that’s nice 🙂. ---

Sounds like a really nice lady. I hear alot of terms bandied about like therapist ect so one question i have is whats a life coach ? is it like an analyst ? or therapist ? ---

I don’t know what her official title is and I think she does different things for different people. I use to be very bad at keeping my apartment clean. And I mean…BAD. That’s why I initially started to see this lady. I had not motivation to clean it up and was completely overwhelmed with it…and my landlord was breathing down my neck. At first she was going to help me with the actual cleaning…but she’s pretty old (in her mid 70’s) and I wasn’t comfortable with it…so I’d just have her come over and she’d sit and we’d visit while I did the cleaning. Took a couple of months…but it got there! It’s been well over a year now since I’ve let it get bad and it’s something I’m pretty proud of. Now she comes over and we just visit for an hour lol. But it’s incredibly important to me…her visits mean a ton to me. She’s the best thing to happen in my life since my mom passed. ---

She also does some activity based groups…she does an arts and craft group, and she also does a lego group for some kids. She goes around to different people’s houses like she does for me to help them as well…though I think she actually does cleaning for some of the people. ---

It sounds to me like she’s pretty good at what she does. Reminds me of an episode of Futurama where bender was a god (of sorts) and the advice or words of wisdom from the true omnipotent being was along the lines of getting people to do things without seaming to interfere at all.
