These guys have been all over my Youtube lately. Like it too. Beyond the goofy outfits, the weird 1/4 tone looping stuff he does on guitar, that drummer kills it!

I spent a whole semester of college listening to late 60s, early 70s psych stuff and totally missed this one… Solid. The ones that still stick with me today are Insect Trust and Ultimate Spinach.

The day I posted this the next record I listened to was Ultimate Spinach! I found July through a record store day repress from a while back. Such a killer album. That same year there was a repress of Birthday Party by The Idle Race. Pre ELO Jeff Lynne is some wild stuff.

ELO has like 4 or 5 albums that are good all the way through. Not sure they ever made it into the hall of fame either… Gonna have to check out his pre ELO stuff now!

I’m still looking for that one… Really like Out of the Blue and Xanadu too. And they did get into the hall of fame back in 2017… Still way too late.

The Hall of Fame is really a bit of a joke. You look at who’s in and who’s out, it’s kinda crazy! For example, Jethro Tull isn’t in, for God’s sake!
