## The Rules
### The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM’s Christmas classic; “Last Christmas”.
### The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you’d like.
### The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies. Enjoy the ?#!$&%! out of remixes and covers.
### The 4th Rule
You’re out as soon as you recognise the song.
#### Bonus Rule
Post on social media with the #whamageddon hashtag when you get hit.
#### PvP?
While we can’t stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So … don’t be a ■■■■, mkay?

I went 6 years without an incident. I got Wham’d last year a few days before Christmas thanks to a float in the parade. I WILL NOT FALTER. I WILL SUCCEED THIS YEAR.

The wife said that one of the radio stations she listened to on the very first day goes “Well everyone, it’s December 1st, and you all know that that means… -starts playing the song immediately- … it means our whole listening audience just got Whammed and you don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the month. You’re welcome.”

I was nervous because we had a company party last night and they were playing the “original” and I got sad for a sec, then it turned out to be like a dance/electronic remix. Woot woot, still in!

I couldn’t think of a more dangerous place aside from the mall.
My sister and I decided to play a game with our music libraries.
The rules were that we would take turns shuffling our entire libraries to build a concert lineup: opener, supporting act, headliner. So she would play a song, then I would play a song, then she’d cap off the lineup. Just to see how different or how close our shuffles would be. The only way to finish the game was to come across a Nickelback song.
About halfway through, my sister panicked because she remembered she had the original Last Christmas downloaded. That’s when we realized we were playing a much more dangerous game than we realized. It took almost 2 HOURS but I finally hit a Nickelback song and we could breathe a sigh of relief. Needless to say, we will not be playing that again for the month of December.

The other day my brother decided to be a total 🫏 and deliberately tried to play it when I was in the room. I ran pell mell, fumbling for my earphones while sounding like an alarm so that I couldn’t hear anything, lol. I will not be brought down so easily!

Whelp, I’m out… first song I heard playing as soon as I stepped foot into the Santa Cruz boardwalk…
This morning has been playing Russian Roulette as my friend trolled me with his Spotify Playlist on our way to destination.
Update - I got whammed a second time…roller coaster train pulls into the station, I hear that iconic rhythm…me: “oh, not again, this just secured the whamageddon”

I have both a kid’s birthday party and taking the daughters to see Santa this weekend at a local store. I think my days in the race are limited, haha.
