# Wedge prototyping?

I’d really like to hear about the prototyping of the wedge. I heard there were a bunch of different protos. Also, is the monster pivot a real thing cuz I’m stoked

There were so many protos of wedge. We made some with steel rings on the inside. We made some with super fat steel rings on the outside that played like a brick. We even made a version with steel rings which looked like the edge, but was 56mm wide (which is super dang wide). Eventually after about 7 or 8 prototypes, we got to the design that I liked and that I felt would be practical for players of all skill levels. Monster pivot is in prototyping phase right now.
