I think that everyone has been too hard on YOALEX. He asked about what Kristiawan has called ASEAN. I think everyone mistakenly thought that Kristiawan was mis-spelling āASIANā.
I do not think that is the case. I recognized it from some economics papers I had read. ASEAN is not ASIA.

Sorry, didnāt mean to violate the statute of limitations on that topic.
I simply wished to point out what I thought was a mis-understanding.
Comments like:
āItās called English being his 2nd language. Donāt be a jerk. I think heās doing just fine, and everybody understood what he meant.ā
point this out. If he is referring to ASEAN - then what does his language have to do with it? The person is NOT being a jerk to ask what it is. And more importantly, everyone DID NOT understand what he meant if they thought he said something other than ASEAN.
