If performing in front of non-throwers, is there one trick that stands out as a rather difficult one to land, that doesn’t seem to impress?

I think most can agree on the opposite, everyone usually wants to see walk the dog and rock the baby 🙃

IKR LOL when I am playing they will stop me and say “Can you do walk the dog?” LOL

Hmm… I feel like whenever people show a non yo-yo player something technical/over just a few seconds in length, people definitely lose interest. Gotta make it quick and flashy.
