Which one (Shake or Palpitation) did Takeshi use for 1A at WYYC this year? ---

On TPs official website it states the isotope 2 has a diameter of 66.2 mm and the palpitation, one of 56. Are they really that different in size? Who has the correct measurements of dimensions and weight? ---

The lighter of the yoyos with the otherwise exact same weight distribution will be the faster one. ---

The original post states the palp is faster than the isotope 2 despite being heavier! ---

I dunno, man. Sometimes marketing is just marketing. Reliable sources have described them as being nearly identical except for the weight. When they say a different weight distribution, they mean a fraction of a gram moved here or there. Not a radical change. To claim it’s faster? Who knows… for some people that means a yoyo with more momentum once you get it up to speed, I guess. But make no mistake… the lighter yoyo between these two will be more responsive to acceleration (ie. “faster” by most definitions). Don’t let the marketing fool you. :wink: As far as I can see, both yoyos are incredible; possibly the top yoyos of their entire category. It should be a no-brainer: if you don’t have a preference in specs, choose the one with the colour you prefer. :wink: If you have a preference in specs, get the lighter or heavier one. Done. ---

Thank you - I will go for the Isotope in that case. I think I would prefer the slightly lighter of the two!
