Well, there is no beginner trick ladder, i you want to compete. It starts out very easy and works its way up to tricks like skin the gerbil and spirit bomb. I also suggest going back and making sure you did not take any shortcuts through tricks.

I am going through the ladder also for Midwest Regionals right now.

Can I get the EDU on what a ladder is? or going through it means?

If you want to know what a sports ladder is, it is basically a way of competing for more of a beginner skill level where judges will name a trick and you will perform it.
It will start basic with just a sleeper, but the tricks will continue to grow harder until the final trick, black hops. You are allowed one mess-up, but two and you are out.
There is also a 2A sports ladder (called 2S) but that required two looping yoyos.

Cool, much appreciated. Kind of a knockout style, I would actually like to watch this…might be boring for some, but right up my alley.
/off to search for vids.
