Yo it is Thursday and no one has learned the trick so far. I am nervous people are struggling so I wanted to give a couple tips about the part I think is most likely to trip people up—the hop from cross arm trapeze to cross arm brother. This part is awkward but gets much easier with some technical considerations. There should be a maintained tension on the string throughout that hop and undercut (just like regular trapeze hop and undercut to brother). With the crossarm version, this is achieved by making sure nth stays crossed over far and stays pushing into the string and that when th index does cut into the string, it is pushing against it enough to pull the yoyo down. Undercutting close to the yoyo also helps bc there is just less room for errors that way and plane control can be a little looser. The main thing though is that the yoyo should be pulled the yoyo onto the string (like all hop elements…think basic eli hop technique) vs trying to “catch” or “land” the yoyo. If there is tension and the yoyo is being pulled onto the string, the yoyo is easier to control and that is good. Also exceptionally long string will make these elements harder…hope this helps and ppl enjoy the trick…

I really enjoy that slack whip motion and was looking for something in between Maider’s double whip from week 14 and the [meta slack trick a lot of folks learn from this yoyojoe video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HePbsZnCWeE). This tutorial from @Rhythm162 feels right in the middle to me and is pretty satisfying when you do it cleanly.

Man oh man this one is killin’ me. I feel like I’m doing the exact same motions as the video but when I get to the step where I pinch the strings on my NTH to allow the slack to fall, I oddly have an additional twist somewhere. Somehow I can’t pinpoint where it came from either.

Wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t need to untangle a knot after every attempt hahaha.

Edit: was able to get an example photo of the extra wraps happening between my index and thumb on my NTH.

yooo i feel like now that you say that i remember having the same problem. lemme see if i can remember the ins and outs of fixing that

edit: playin around with it, it’s kinda hard for me to tell, but is this immediately prior to the underpass part? when you do the rejection part, your nth should turn palm up. if you aren’t doing that, that _could_ be the problem. once you end up in the gt, the top knot of the gt will actually have an extra wrap though instead of just one wrap over the top like a nrml gt. so once you hop out of that gt itll be a trapeze with a twist. lemme know if we’re on the right track or if none of that’s it

Awesome, thanks for the tips!

In the photos it’s right before I would pinch the strings and drop the slack. But obviously in my picture if I dropped the slack it wouldn’t be a nice open slack to swing the yoyo into.
