I used too much thin lube on my Dv888, I am now wondering how to get it off and to make it spinning fast and clean again. I have the following materials: Gas, wd-40, thin lube, and thats it. Do I need to buy something to make it work again?

whatever you do dont use the wd-40 unless your quick. anyways take the bearing and dip it in mineral spirits or acetone. you can get these at a hardware store or maybe kmart.

Just play the crap out of it and break in the lube… Embrace responsive play… its alot of fun

WD-40 will not harm your bearing. I’ve used it too many times. Just make sure you blow out your bearing when your done and then lube lightly.

Either use mineral spirits and lube again, or just keep throwing it up and down, and breaking it in all over again. but i would rather just clean it again

You could also take the shields off and blow air through it and get a lot of the lube out.

If it’s just lube, why even waste your time/bearing life cleaning it? Just play it and it will break in and perform at least twice as well as if you’d cleaned it.
