# Thinking about stripping

…my yoyo. I have a YoTricks Ethos that i’ve gotten a few dings and marks on. It’s my favorite throw and the marks bug me. I’m considering stripping it, but I have a few questions:
1. If i strip it, does the raw aluminum tarnish fast?
2. What’s the best way to strip it? I’ve used oven cleaner on anodized bike handlebars, but is there a better way?
3. The stainless weight rings on my Ethos are black, will they be stripped too if i use chemicals?
4. The Ethos is beadblasted and anodized. Will the finish still be beadblasted after stripping?
