I believe the entire thing is 7003 aluminum. No steel rims. It’s not a bi-metal. ---

The specs say that it has stainless steel rims on the store page. You can also see the interface between the aluminium and steel in the cup and on the rims. ---

the close up views look like it has a clear seam line between the aluminum and steel halves ---

It is listed in multiple places as bi-metal. Price is also typical TopYo bi-metal. The Top Beta was tri-material in 2017 (7003 with SS rings and a POM response bump). The Top Ex was a bimetal in 2019. Would be weird for TopYo to market a monometal from this line at this price in 2024, but sometimes companies do weird things. ---

Looks like the spec sheet was updated. The initial spec sheet had it list as only 7003, hence my confusion. ---

Having been fooled by bi-metal styling on other yo-yos until I took a closer look, I think it is worth calling out if it isn’t mentioned. Some people like the look, but it’s not for me. This looks like a pretty good yo-yo. ---
