I’ve done the same 2 min combo with many elements for about 10 years, I’m extremely picky about the response and the way the walls react with the string. I know within 2 throws whether or not its a throw I can use or like, it’s not a subjective assesment, really. There’s a special quality about the speed, agility and keeping amazing stability on this one. ---

Yeah I’m not complaining, I’m just a stats and data guy so the first thing I did was weigh them without string just to compare to the Drunner I have already. ---

It’s possible the black weighs a tiny bit more than the raw due to ano? That scale is only 0.1g accurate though? The scale I use says 0.01g which is a big difference. Let me weigh what I have on hand, this is without string but otherwise assembled: black #1 – 63.48g black #2 – 64.19g grey – 63.70g halfswap #1 grey/raw – 64.04g halfswap #2 grey/raw – 63.78g dryer stonewashed – 63.62g Interesting, that is more variance than I’d expect. :thinking: The “official” weight is 63.75g so we’re pretty close, no more than 0.25g off in any of thse cases? Well, I guess the 64.19g is a tad off… ---

I measured three different times, zeroing out the scale each time. Again, not complaining, just reporting some facts! I can’t really tell a measurable difference on the string - my mind is telling me the gray is floatier just by a hair, but I can’t exclude visual bias. Not a big deal they both play amazing. Not a complaint or critique, but more of a statement: I’d be incredibly impressed if there’s a person out there that can 10/10 tell me which of two items weighing 0.5 grams different than one another is the heaviest or lightest solely by holding them in their hands. ---

I’m definitely not good enough for it to matter at all. I wonder if a top tier player would notice a difference of .5g on any 64g throw. Again, I wasn’t trying to bring up any controversy or issue, just interested to find the difference. I’m also a data set of 2 so we can’t really tell if it’s just general variance in machining or if the black in general weigh more. Honestly I’m not sure I’ve ever weighed two different yoyos of the same model before. Never really had cause to. I was just interested in looking at the data because of the exacting copying done to get these. ---

No, it’s interesting, I would have weighed even more in my post ⬆ but I gave almost all of mine away, that’s all I have right now. (And two of the ones I weighed, I’m only keeping in reserve for shipping losses or anything like that.) The goal is to get the throw in the hands of lots of people, not for me to sit on a hoard of the things 🐉 ---

Recieved mine, just wanted to give a thank you to all involved in this project. It has been fun to try to cram all the reading in and catch up on the whole project. In my opinion job well done! Hope this isnt the end of projects like this, nor the end of the team that was assembled to put this fantastic yoyo in my hands! ---

This is through play though, not by just holding it in his hands. Back to back he could tell that tiny difference. Also throwing back to back I’m sure most players, not even particularly skilled ones, can tell the difference of .5g through playing. I don’t really care about the minor variance in weight on the Vayders tho, I was just giving Jeff a hard time :joy: ---

@HVizier 64.9 on the two Life I have (clear and green) machined by OD - getting 64.8 on one a couple readings. 63.8 for both Blockades I have (63.7 reading a couple of times on one) - not made by OD but that’s the only other I have dupe of - different ano on the Blockades but both very similar splash/acid wash jobs. I’m using TARE to reset between measurements. I bet OD is absolutely within .2g if not tighter tolerances. Those guys have VERY tight production. ---

I _think_ it’s a lot harder for titanium though because the tooling required to make it has to be many times tougher? That’s not the 0.02g claim though. That’s not even 25% of it lol. Again, I’m picking. I was more interested in some of the Vayders being polished and some having a matte than the weight.
