The profits are all going to a charitable cause decided by @codinghorror and @AndreBoulay. Because I have a feeling this is about to come up again, I am touching $0 of this project and am just testing and packaging the yo-yos before shipping them to a fulfillment company. The cause is posted on the site and clearly visible once that launches, but I don’t know if they want it public yet so I will leave that up to them. I don’t have access to the site beyond being able to see that. ---

I’m trying not to be dramatic here, but it feels like everything. Happy, depressing, hyped, exhausting, proud, humbling, and stressful are the best ways to describe it. It’s doesn’t feel like it used to, and I’m not expecting it to or think that it ever will. I can’t say that there aren’t moments of enjoyment here, but it’s clearly and deservingly scarred. ---

That’s totally understandable. If you don’t mind me asking, what is motivating you to participate in this if you aren’t profiting from it? This might be part of it: Despite all that you are feeling, is it exciting to anticipate getting one of your designs into a whole new generation of fresh hands? ---

The motivation is to put the best yoyo design i ever made into as many peoples hands as possible while giving back to a community and world that I wronged. How could anyone seeking atonement say no to that? It’s wild and humbling to think that this many people are still interested in the design, and I look forward to everyone putting it up to/comparing it to designs nearly a decade more modern. ---

Haha thanks - I just love to hear about what motivates people, their passion for being creative, etc. And I have only been in the yoyo community for few years now but I think its a really great and supportive community so I think that it is exciting to hear about Heath’s story and support him on his journey. I definitely know what its like to get in over your head and make mistakes. -PS: I just joined the yoyoexpert forum last week because I wanted to follow on on this Ti-Vayder business. I had only been part of the yoyo BST before. This place is awesome. I love it. ---
