I threw a “hypothetical” at my wife the other day: “So, what would your reaction be if I spent $140 on a badass yoyo?”
Her: “I’d be so pissed at you.”
Me: “Even if it was made out of titanium and one of just a very small run?”
Her: “As I said, I’d be so ■■■■■■■ pissed at you.”
So, yeah, as much as I’d love to move a few things and snag this I don’t think it’d be good for the marriage.

That was a no go. Went something like this:
Me: “I have a few yoyos I don’t use much and I’m thinking of selling them.”
Her: “But you just got them within the last few months. Why would you sell them so soon?”
Me: “Well, I got them because they were good deals and I ended up not really loving them. I have a bunch of others that I like a lot better.”
Her: “That doesn’t make any sense. Why would you buy something you’re not sure you’ll like?”
She really is a wonderful woman. After all, she married me. She just “doesn’t get it.”

Because in the yoyo world, there is no try-before-you-buy program. There is only buy-and-try (and-then-sell-if-you-don’t-end-up-liking-it).

OK raws all gone. Just the 2 blacks left. :wink:
Our original survey in the first post (click or tap the topic title at the top to jump to the top of the topic) definitely underestimated how popular raw would be (44% grey, 30% black, 26% raw).
I think in retrospect I would have done 33 / 33 / 33 of each type, or maybe even 40% raw, 30% grey, 30% black.
