I can’t even begin to explain how gutted I was when I got the bill. I was so excited about getting them, but that just sucked all the fun out of it, I didn’t really throw mine much when it arrived because of how angry I was with the taxes. Oh well.
Extra costs aside, I really like the Vayder. It could be the best yoyo I own performance wise. For such a small and light yoyo, it really does pack quite a punch, and smooth too, dead smooth.
Heath must have found the magic formula when he was designing the Ti-Walker. I’d love to try a walker just so I could compare them. The Skywalker is a great yoyo too.
I wonder if an Aluminum Vayder would be any good?

Indeed. All the whinging over the 2-limit-rule is motivated by a scarcity condition that doesn’t even exist. 🙄

according to your theory then this rule is in fact useless.
but evidently (and for fotruna), whoever thought of making this object realistic, does not see it in this way … and it is the reason why this rule has been inserted.

Yes, this is quite true.
The rule was instituted in fear of a potential sales rush that never happened. Even Jeff admitted that he did not expect all 500 units to sell out instantly, or even _that_ quickly. But he was “playing it safe,” despite what all common sense was telling him (and the rest of us).

that did not happen you can only say it because there was this rule … a yoyo of this potential (certain and established) at such a low price (not even Chinese brands sell titanium yoyos at this price) potentially would have attracted many speculators .
I probably, having been away for over a year, could have had the chance to have one thanks to this rule!

I am pretty convinced that the rule did not deter speculators. The quantity available did that all by itself.

We removed the 2 limit per person restriction once the initial buying frenzy died down. You can buy as many as you want now, provided you want grey or black :wink:

It is removed, from the actual charge page where the big warning used to be. I don’t think anything else is necessary.

Personal life has been taking priority, and I am taking the advice of people I respect and slow rolling within the community at a pace that is apparently considered non existently slow haha.
I am here though. Tag me and I’ll likely check it out. Been fiddling with Bi Metals of late. They’re definitely interesting vs. what I was used to.

honestly, I found more interesting what you were doing with just aluminum … (the Flying Hut is one of my great regrets, for never having been able to find one!)

I wish more manufacturers would do this rather than do small runs that sell out in hours. I have 5 yoyo’s on my wish list that are not available even though they were released in the last year.

Arrived today my #149, after a long journey around the world.
The following are just my personal impressions after half an hour of play, so consider them for what they are worth.
The yoyo certainly does not betray the expectations, it is machined flawlessly (in my case and wanting to be extremely picky), even slightly better than the Ti-Walker in my possession which has a very small machine reset error that left two very small burrs in the center hubs.
No vibration, absolutely smooth!!!
At sight, in addition to the declared differences (size and axle pitch, pads size which also involves the presence of a small high wall and the 0.5 mm gap increase), the only other that is easily visible to the naked eye is this highlighted, which on the Vayder creates a step more harmonious and less angular flare than that on the Walker.
For the rest you really have to deal with the same yoyo, monstrously efficient, delicate with its melodic sound reminiscent of the bells of a festive church and lethally precise as a scalpel.
The weight of a single cup proves it, only 37 hundredths of a gram of difference.
The anodization has pleasantly surprised me is a beautiful gunmetal gray that seems to emit light as it is reflective and bright … in full freedom of choice I would have chosen the raw variant because I love the natural color of titanium but this time I would have simply been wrong.
Playing in my opinion and for my sensitivity (very low probably) you can hardly perceive differences between the two, the gap increased by half a millimeter does not allow things that would not be feasible also with the Walker (both with three turns of string in the gap start to suffer from slight friction) and the 19 mm pads have the convenience of being easily available and replaceable but offer the same perfect and prompt response that liquid silicone has to offer on the Ti-Walker.
The bearing with ceramic balls of the Ti-Walker allows spinning times longer than the Central-Track of the Vayder but this thing can easily be solved (a full ceramic kk is traveling to my home).
So ultimately if the aim was to offer many people to enjoy a fantastic object like the Ti-Walker, I would say that the goal was totally achieved in an extremely faithful way.
You have a twin on your hands … and as it happens in these cases, looking good some small difference is always found but the genetics are the same !!!
