I despise learning tricks on my phone but it’s unfortunately the only way I can learn tricks 99% of the time. People always tell me to use a pc and use the \<\> buttons to go frame by frame but that’s actually impossible on mobile… UNTIL NOW ANYWAYS! You can also just screen record it and then you can slow it down frame by frame. ---

Doesn’t really work on everyone phone tho, as ik rn no phone comes with a stock video player that lets u go frame by frame but maybe has decent scrubbing that lets u do it that way. My old phone was good with it but I just got a new one and the default player is dog water, so if I’m gonna have to download a new player might as well get the one that lets me easily switch the speed on the fly, along with letting me actually go frame by frame and now just slowly scrub ---

bro… youtube got a slow down feature, it’s not frame by frame though it’s just 0.25x speed, also speed up if you hold touch on your screen, it’s on the phone, if you want frame by frame just play and pause🤣 ---

I really like trick tutorials that break steps up into chapters, like how @DocPop does it, and then looping the chapters till I fully get it. That’s nice to hear, thanks. I know everyone has different ways they like to learn, and I always worry that I might be overexplaining stuff. It’s good to know that breaking sections into chapters is useful. ---

Nah that sucks, cuz then to rewind i either go back at least 5 seconds while its stuck at .25, or i scrub and always overshoot. too many of the high level “tutorials” out there literally have a SUPER important key frame that never gets explained and needs to be seen ---

imo its always best to overexplain, i feel like the current scene (mainly for intermediate) don’t explain nearly enough. so i love to see the depth you go into man ---

Kinda wanted to bump the post cuz I feel that it’s so helpful. But also wanted to add that this method does harm tutorial channels cuz it doesn’t give any watch time (less watch time = not showing it to other people and therefore no views 🫠. It’s why a lot of the bigger channels have videos so insanely inflated, it’s for watch time)
