In my time in the community I’ve got to test a handful of prototypes and such and one thing I’ll guarantee in every time I test something (assuming I have permission to be rough with it) is my kids will help test durability. I’ve intentionally missed os high tosses to test durability on yoyos. ---

He’s a big fan of the cOrk lol Edit: his testing did reveal additional bonding was needed for the axle, I roughed it up with pliers and added more glue, and it seems to hold up well ---

I should make some more kid durable yo-yos. TPU prints are good but the axle can come unglued, gotta solve for that. ---

What I did was clamp the axle in a vise and chewed the ends up with pliers to make them “porous” for the glue to adhere better, and then assembled. I figured if the splining works for Duncan’s, plier bite marks can work as well for 3D prints ---

After you did that I started sanding all my metal axle ends with 100 grit before gluing! Have heard less issues since. ---

Yeah I found with testing some stuff from FD in tpu that the thinnest areas around the axle or seat (in that case it was using stems) would crack due to flex after being thrown around by my kids for a few days. ---

I know there are folks that have done wild stuff like Mk1 and DD sending YoYo’s out for destructive testing and such,
