# Team Losi Throwback! Cherry Bomb & Da Bomb!

CHERRY BOMB:
For those who aren’t familiar – Team Losi is not a yo-yo team, it was one of the companies that came out with a few throws during the late 90’s yo-yo boom and then quickly faded away, but they did leave their mark with some pretty fun yo-yos!

Led by Steve Brown (yeah, that guy) Team Losi created the Cherry Bomb as their 1A string trick yo-yo. This old school yo-yo has a small ball bearing, starburst response on both sides, an adjustable gap, and removable weight rings. It’s an absolute blast to step back in time and throw one of these yo-yos. It gives you a chance to hone your skills and get a feel for what our yo-yo pioneers were throwing.

Definitely a blast from the past, I remember seeing them in printed yoyo catalogs that I got in the mail in the 90’s, along with a bunch of other throws from that era. Did Losi reproduce these or are these actually from the 90’s? (When I hear Losi, I think of RC cars)

That Team Losi reminds me of RC as well since I work at local hobby shop its something i see often. Nearly the text even! :o

They’re not reproduced, these are form the 90’s. And they did primarily make RC cars, yo-yos were more of a side business for them I believe.

You might ask, and you might get an honest answer… Or I might tell you they “fell off a truck” in the 90s and we had to wait 20 years for the statute of limitations to expire so we could unload the merchandise.
