is Woolly Nylon made any different then normal Poly string? ---

Yeah. Materially it’s nylon instead of polyester, but the construction of the thread is different as well. Wooly nylon is composed of many really fine strands that are kinked up a bit, which makes it sorta springy. There’s more than one type of polyester thread construction as well. I think they can be characterized into thread weight (thickness) and then for the individual fibers, fiber thickness, cross section, and average length. They all contribute to feel and appearance. ---

Wooly Nylon is a brand of “stretch” nylon. I use maxi-lock stretch now which is similar but less bouncy and easier to control. ---
