How do you adjust string tension on a unresponsive yoyo without taking it off your finger all the time?

Or get into a split bottom mount, let go with your NTH, and with your NTH pull the middle of the 3 strings to the side until the string starts to spin around the yoyo, adjusting the tension. If you need to adjust the tension the other way, you’ll have to pull to the other side.

I find it easier than the method in the video, but I’m sure both ways have their advantages.

You could do mini side winders. A side winder/ palm grind combo, or what is said above, but I do it from a trapeze.
