I’m 3 fingers above the bellybutton for 1A, before I fold the string over to make the slipknot. 3 shorter than belly button for 5a. Medium- long I have found that my length preference is really still being shaped. Before I said One Drops bulk was just right, but I I have found that making a loop just at the very end and cutting off the factory loop makes them juuuust right. I should measure it. I’m 5’6” ---

I’ve been at this for a few cake days now and I still don’t have a clear winner. I’m 5/8 or 5/9 depending on the doctor and I end up with about 4 fingers above the belly button. Some of my throws are longer: right at the sternum ,and I like that for whip tricks, but then I also have A LOT more close calls with that long of a string with the cieling or the floor or funature. My bimetals tend to be on shorter strings because of that. makes whips a little harder but I feel more in control.
