I have never really had much interest in trying to get a Peak. They were never a throw that I felt like spending that kind of cash on… until I stumbled upon the Peak History thread. It was a great read, and had some pictures of some very nice looking peaks. Then I saw this:
I knew it had to be mine eventually. For those of you that don’t know me, and very few around here do, my previous hobby was collecting vintage video games, specifically NES. This yoyo would be a perfect fusion between my two favorite things, and, come on, it would look bad @\*\* on this shelf, right?
So, I pm’d sparhawk, the topic creator, or at least copier from the yye thread, and he said he believes the Super Mario Bros. Peak was lost in the mail… … . … … … Ouch.

I love all of Levi’s Peaks. RAN has the best collection of them (I believe he has more than this…)

I know it’s not the same but I can see something very similar being able to be done in anodization. The white would be clear ano but pretty close.

Levi used automotive paint and airbrush.

Paint is not even in the same league as powder as far as difficulty to use.
People want people get. Price is based on that.

This yoyo seems like a real nice collectible yoyo it’s a shame it got lost, oh well hope he can make you a new one but imho it needs one gumba.

You just said you could replicate that in powder no problem. Until of course someone wants to see it done.
Gonna reiterate my NO WAY. Definitely havent seen any detialed work like that from you, anyway.

I call this…“Nintendo Peak freestyle:”
So sad I can’t speak, as I stare out the window,
Thinking of that Peak, that looks just like Nintendo,
Plans were derailed, sounds like a trade failed,
Peak was for sale, but got lost in the mail?
What a fine cool design, it was definitely worth it,
And maybe in time, Nintendo Peak will resurface,
This thread made me sad, why…I do not know,
I guess it’s always bad, when mourning a lost throw,
As soon as I read this mess, I was mortified,
But, impressed, your game collection is so organized.
I guess the missing Peak will forever be a mystery,
Vanished “so to speak,” just a part of Peak history.
